Every session will integrate some or all of these modalities and tools into a customized treatment.
Myofascial Release- A technique in which a gentle, slow moving pressure is applied to release the restrictions within fascia, or connective tissue. This modality encourages our posture to correct itself and for chronic holding patterns to shift, allowing for more efficient functioning.
Acupressure- An ancient healing art in which pressure applied to specific points on meridians- energetic pathways along the body- stimulate the body’s self-curative abilities. This technique can relieve both physical and emotional pain, boost immunity, and regulate the functioning of the body’s organs.
Trigger Point Therapy- A technique in which direct pressure is applied to a tender point with referral tenderness or sensitivity in another part of the body. Trigger Point Therapy can release that “cranky knot”, bringing pain relief and increasing our range of motion and circulation.
Reflexology- A system based on the theory that specific points on the feet, face, and hands correspond to all of the organs and other systems of the body. This type of massage can be very grounding, immune boosting, and aid in sinus and digestive imbalances.
Kinesiology Taping- The application of latex-free tape to the skin can manipulate the soft tissue, prolonging the effects of massage. The tape offers support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion, improves circulation and lymph movement and helps with rehabilitation.
Essential Oils and Salves- The use of plant based oils and salves can be absorbed through our skin and transfer into our bloodstream, having a healing effect on the body and mind. Please note that none of the products used contain artificial fragrances.
